Closed settlements
These claim deadlines have passed. We keep the pages up because the questions don't stop when the deadline does: people still need to know whether they missed it, when payments go out, and what to do if they filed. To stop missing them, get deadline alerts.

Missed a deadline? What actually happens
- Late claims are usually rejected. Administrators enforce the court-ordered deadline. It's occasionally worth contacting them anyway, since a small number of settlements accept late claims until the fund is distributed.
- If you already filed, you're still in. Payments typically arrive months after the final approval hearing, and only after any appeals resolve.
- You are not owed anything automatically unless the settlement pays without a claim (many government refund programs do exactly that).
- Nobody legitimate charges you to file. That's true before and after a deadline.
